Description:  Outdoor concert featuring music from the Beatles performed by REPLAY the Beatles. REPLAY The Beatles is a unique tribute to The Beatles. REPLAY is a “true-to-life” reproduction. Event: Concert ― Alpha Thiam

Description: Originally from Guinea and Mali, Alpha Thiam is from a noble family of African griots. As a guitarist and singer-songwriter, he is a great exponent of West African music and culture. His music is influenced by cultural sounds from Senegal, Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Burkina Faso, as well as American blues and jazz. Presented in collaboration with the Conseil des Arts en tournée.

Event: Shona African Sculpture Exhibition and Sale                          

Dates: Saturday, July 24 to Sunday, August 1

Time: Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Location: Centennial Park, 288 Beaconsfield Blvd.

Description: For the sixth consecutive year, Beaconsfield will host an exhibition of hand-carved Shona sculpture from Zimbabwe, curated by ZimArt. Over 100 works from more than 35 Zimbabwean artists will be on display and for sale. Artist-in-residence Givemore Mashaya will be on site throughout the show.

Public vernissage: Saturday, July 24 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Curator’s talk and tour daily at 6:00 p.m.

Description:  Big bands were booming in the 1930s. Halls and ballrooms were packed. The Centennial Big Band under the direction of Mike Cartile features the sensational sound of 1930's swing. Kerry-Anne Kutz will be there to sing the unforgettable tunes of yesteryear.
